The robe is golden yellow with green reflections of good intensity. The disk is bright, limpid and transparent. The wine shows youth. The nose is marked, pleasant and of good intensity. We perceive a dominant of crystallized scents, honey but also citrus fruits, lemon and white flowers. The airing enhances the previous scents and reveals delicate notes of citron, orange, peach, spices, candied ginger as well as a fine underlying mineral and smoky touch. The nose is a bit short. The botrytis's noble mark needs time to express itself and flourish. The onset in the mouth is dense, semi-liquorish. The alcohol support is balanced. The wine evolves on a medium with a frank liveliness, marked by a sparking note. The range of flavours is similar of that of the nose, dominated by candied citrus fruits, lemon, orange, peach, honey, spices, ginger, a delicate floral note, orange blossom and still this underlying mineral and smoky touch. The finish has a good length, 8-9 caudalies, and a frank and refreshing vivacity. The structure is rich and full, perfectly balanced by the mineral tension. The range of flavours expresses the precise sorting of this year's grapes. Very good job! Ideal to accompany a pork tagine with lemon, a duck in orange sauce, a blue-veined cheese, such as the Fourme d'Ambert or a rhubarb pie with meringue.

Preserved mandarins are evoked on the nose. The palate continues this rich and luscious but zesty citrus game: tangerine, clementine and orange weave their sweet-tart aromatic course across the palate and into your heart. This has lovely richness but not an ounce of fat. Streamlined Riesling freshness bathes rich late harvest sweetness in bright refreshing light. The zesty finish makes you crave more. Drink now through 2030.

Named for the first time (after the father of Severine and Thomas), the 2014 Riesling Vendanges Tardives Cuvée Eric is complex and fresh on the nose, pretty mineral and rather spicy than fruity. On the palate, this is a rich and sweet but also piquant and well-structured Riesling with grip, salt and mineral expression. It's really digestible and a food wine rather than a dessert wine. Keep it for 10 or 20 years and then try it with game. This wine is rarely produced, only in 2000, 2005, 2009 and 2015.
