This roughly 50-50 blend of sister vineyards Solomon Hills and Bien Nacido starts with aromas of lemon oil, clean tangerine pith and damp oak. There is great tension on the sip, where bright lemon and dried chamomile flavors meet with sandalwood.

The 2017 Chardonnay La Hermana is the one Santa Maria Chardonnay in this lineup. Orchard fruit, white flowers, mint, slate and chalk add layers of complexity to a bright, enticing Chardonnay that oozes class. Impeccable in its balance, La Hermana is bright, layered and incredibly appealing. Drinking Window:2020-2027.

The 2017 Chardonnay La Hermana comes from a site in the Santa Maria Valley and was raised all in neutral oak. It has a rounded, balanced, medium-bodied style as well as plenty of caramelized stone fruits, honeycomb, and toasted bread notes. It shows the richer style of the estate yet has good acidity and a rounded, layered texture.
