A blend of 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 54% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc, 16% Petit Verdot and 13% Malbec, the 2017 Rindo Proprietary Red is deep garnet-purple in color, offering up notes of blackberry pie, red currant jelly, Morello cherries and cassis plus hints of dried Mediterranean herbs, garrigue, Chinese five spice and unsmoked cigars. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is chock-full of juicy berry layers with a savory undercurrent and plush tannins, finishing long and spicy.

Merlot leads the way in this proprietary blend, the rest made up with 16% Petit Verdot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Malbec and 2% Cabernet Franc. It offers flavors of soy, dried plum and cherry that meld with savory accents of graphite, iron and crushed rock. The body is weighty and opulent.
