The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Ranch is a stunning wine. Dark, virile and imposing, the 2019 packs so much energy and complexity into its mid-weight frame. Generous dollops of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot add layers of dimension. The 2019 is hugely promising. I can't wait to taste it from bottle next year.

The 2019 Oakville Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon is composed of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it comes skipping out of the glass with bright, cheery scents of blackcurrant jelly, kirsch and wild blueberries, followed by nuances of fragrant earth, pencil lead and lavender. The full-bodied palate has a firm, grainy texture and bags of freshness supporting the generous fruit, finishing long with mineral and earth sparks. 590 cases are due to be made.
