A beautiful deep ruby in color, the aromatic energy of the UV Pinot Noir soars from the glass. A core of dark cherries and warm black raspberries is complemented by notes of cardamom, baked clay, and white pepper. A waft of whole cluster perfume adds an extra layer of complexity. Full-bodied and plush in the mouth, the intensity of the mid palate rounds out to a silky, polished finish. Suggested drinking window is 2019 through 2030.

Bottled in June 2017, the 2016 Pinot Noir UV Vineyard has a medium ruby-purple color and nose of Sichuan pepper, sandalwood, dusty earth and underbrush with a core of black cherries and black raspberries, plus a pretty waft of rose hip tea. Full-bodied, concentrated and with incredible intensity, the generous fruit is well supported by fine-grained tannins, finishing long with mineral nuances.
