The proprietary red wine, the 2014 True Vineyard Immigrant is a blend of 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Cabernet Franc and 27% Merlot. Absolutely spectacular, this wine was aged 20 months in 70% new French oak. It has a deep, dense, opaque purple color and a glorious nose of spring flowers, forest floor, black raspberries, blueberries and lead pencil shaving as well as a touch of licorice. It is full-bodied and intense, but cuts a relatively elegant feel across the palate in spite of its profound intensity. This is a super-rich, strikingly intriguing and provocative wine to drink over the next 15-20 years. I loved it.

The 2014 Immigrant True Vineyard is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot fermented together. The high percentage of Cabernet Franc helps preserve a good bit of freshness. There is no shortage of pure power or intensity here, that much is obvious. Red cherry jam, pomegranate, mocha, smoke and wild flowers are fused together in this dramatic, large-scaled Howell Mountain red.
