Purity of Grenache, specifically from Paderewski's west Paso limestone-studded, dark grey soils, speaks so clearly through the 2021 Sensibility, our 50% concrete aged, iconic expression of our beloved "Pinot of the Rhône." Aromas of fresh red raspberries, wild strawberries, crushed stone, coastal chapparal, naval orange, and citrus rind echo in the flavors on the palate. Crisp and textured, with structure setting in mid-palate, this wine's characteristic Grenache tannins ease their tightness as it breathes in your glass, broadening the palate and lengthening the finish.

The 2019 Sensibility is impossible to ignore. A stone dust and violet candy blend evolves into a classic display of Grenache fruit. Strawberry and lavender tones resonate throughout as the 2019 washes across the palate in silky waves offset by cooling mineral tones. Dusty tannins linger, and the mouth is left watering for more. Don't be fooled. This delicate beauty is gorgeous today but has the balance for a long and steady evolution.

The 2019 Sensibility is an elegant style of Grenache that matured for 17 months. Medium ruby-purple, it has pure scents of blueberries and black cherries, with notes of milk chocolate, pencil shavings, lilac and dried herbs. The palate is lifted, silky and fresh, with approachable yet layered spicy fruits and a long, floral finish. 571 cases were made, and this will be released in the spring of 2022.

The 2019 Sensibility checks in as 100% Grenache that was harvested between September 27 and October 3, which is late for this site. Beautiful kirsch and mulberry fruits as well as herbes de Provence, spice, and pepper define the bouquet, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a pretty, layered texture and outstanding length.
