Seven Stones Cabernet Sauvignon 2013
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is a magnificent effort made by well-known consultant Aaron Pott, and is pretty much as one would expect from such a great vintage and the terroir. Dense purple with notes of crushed rock, blueberry and blackberry fruit as well as touches of licorice, graphite and camphor, the wine is dense and multidimensional, with sweet tannin and stunning concentration. Drink it over the next 25+ years.
A tour de force, musclebound, tannic and chewy, this offers loamy earth, cedary oak, black licorice and tobacco notes at the core. A candidate for cellaring. Best from 2020 through 2030. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 320 cases made.
