Rich, aromatic and wonderfully expressive, the 2018 Farella captures a striking balance of Realm richness and the cool, savory notes that make Farella such a compelling site. Rose petal, mint, spice, licorice and blood orange give the 2018 striking aromatic nuance and complexity. This is a gorgeous Coombsville Cabernet.

Realm took over the management of the Farella vineyard from 2018 with a view to eventually assume possession of the property. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Farella Vineyard is their first "Estate" wine from the vineyard. Deep garnet-purple colored, it comes bounding out of the glass with youthful notes of fresh black plums, Morello cherries, ripe blackcurrants and Black Forest cake plus hints of cumin seed, damp earth and spice box with subtle hints of tobacco and new leather. Medium to full-bodied, it has a solid foundation of fir, grainy tannins and lovely freshness supporting the bright, crunchy fruit, finishing long with a provocative, lifted perfume. Note that no 2017 Farella Vineyard was made.
