Silverado Vineyards Solo Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
|Region||California, Napa Valley, Stags Leap District|
From the producer's estate Silverado Vineyard (the fourth to be planted in the appellation to Cabernet Sauvignon), this 100% varietal wine impresses in dusty, gravelly rock and earthy clove and sage. Focused and fresh in underlying acidity, it has classic structure and graceful red fruit within moderated, balanced power and grace.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Solo gives up notions of baked plums, cassis, blueberry compote and camphor with hints of unsmoked cigars and dusty soil. The palate is medium-bodied, soft and juicy with loads of earthy/mineral-inspired layers and a long, savory finish.
