We are thrilled to offer another wine from the Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard - a 22 acre site renowned for its naturally low yields and well draining soil. Sourced from younger fruit closer to the Sulphur Springs Creek, 'Los Compadres' is a combined expression of Clone 4 and Clone 337 all planted all on Rootstock 110R - the hallmark combination of great Beckstoffer wines. Slightly more fruit forward than the other Carter Cellars Beckstoffer Las Piedras wines it showcases a full rich bold palate of dark red and black cherry fruits infused with graphite, wet gravel and clove undertones. When matched with our signature barrel program, this wine ends with a lengthy prodigious finish that will only get better with age.
