The 2021 Problem Child is a blend of 55% Zinfandel, 17% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 8% Carignan, 5% Graciano and 5% Mourvèdre. It has intense aromas of baked raspberries and cherries with accents of cinnamon, bay leaves and dark spices. The full-bodied palate is youthfully coiled, its fruit streaked with graphite. It has loads of powdery tannins balanced by fresh acidity and a very long, licorice-laced finish. It deserves 3-5 years in bottle to unwind.

The 2021 Problem Child (55% Zinfandel, 17% Grenache, 10% Syrah, and smaller amounts of Carignan, Graciano, and Mourvèdre) brings a darker, slightly more earthy edge in its black and blue fruits as well as candied violets, pepper, and baking spice-driven aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has the plush, layered, incredibly supple style found in all these 2021s. Drink this beauty over the coming decade.
