Another wine that's showing even better today than on release (which is always a good sign), the 2011 Igp Côtes Catalanes Secret de Schistes comes from higher elevation, brown schist soils and was raised completely in new barrels. Black raspberries, tapenade, game, peppery herbs and spice characteristics all flow to a full-bodied, supple, elegant Syrah that has a great mid-palate and polished tannin.
